What Is The Difference Between Table Skirting And Stage Skirting?

Table skirting is generally used around bridal tables, buffet tables, display tables and event tables which have a standard height range of approximately 73-76cm. Stage skirting is used on stages, risers and platforms to hide the front or sides of the structure. Stage heights can vary.

Both types attach in a similar way using hook-and-loop fastening and skirting clips. The main difference is usually the height required.

Box pleated skirting has neat, structured pleats that create a professional and tidy finish. It is often used in venues, hotels, conference centres and event hire settings because it presents well and can be reused across many events.

What Sizes Of Table Skirting Are Available?

Table skirting is selected by length. Choose the length based on the area you want to cover around the table.

What Sizes Of Stage Skirting Are Available?

Stage skirting is usually selected by height. The height should match the height of your stage, riser or platform so the skirting sits neatly to the floor.

How Much Table Skirting Do I Need?

Measure the area you want to cover. If you only need to cover the front of a table, measure the front length. If you want to cover the front and sides, include both side measurements as well.

For example, if your table is 2.4m wide and you want to cover the front and both sides, measure the front plus both side returns. This gives a more finished look for bridal tables, buffet tables and display tables.

Is Velcro Already Attached To The Skirting?

Yes. Our polyester table and stage skirting has hook-and-loop fastening sewn onto the top of the skirting. This allows the skirting to attach to compatible table skirting clips.

You do not need to sew or attach the fastening yourself. Skirting clips are generally sold separately unless otherwise stated on the product listing.

What Colours Are Available?

Black and white are the main base colours stocked in polyester table and stage skirting. Selected colours may also be available, including red, navy, purple and silver.

Are The Edges Hemmed?

Our polyester table and stage skirting has serged edges for a neat and durable finish. The edges are not heat treated or scalloped.

Can Table Skirting Be Ironed?

Yes. A low-temperature iron or garment steamer can be used to remove creases after washing or storage. Always test a small area first and avoid excessive heat.

What Is The Best Way To Store Table Skirting?

For the best presentation, we recommend storing table and stage skirting hanging rather than folded.

• Use trouser hangers
• Use skirt hangers with clips
• Use wooden clamp hangers
• Store on a hanging rail where possible
• Add a plastic dry cleaning bag over the skirting to help keep it clean and dust free

Hanging storage helps maintain the pleats and reduces crease lines. Long-term folding may create creases that need steaming or ironing before use.
