Kransekake are delicious towers of almond cake rings. Each of the cake rings is iced in frosting and absolutely mouth-watering delicious. In some families, the presentation of a Kransekake is incorporated into the wedding reception.
Families will build a Kransekake tower of cakes, but instead of leaving the inside hollow, they place a bottle of wine or champagne in the middle. The bottle, which is surrounded by the cakes, will be uncovered as guests pull apart the rings and enjoy eating the yummy almond cakes.
Two Flower Bouquets – Mexico
Brides following this Mexican wedding tradition will be walking down the aisle with not one, but two floral bouquets. The first floral bouquet is the traditional one that is selected by the bride. It is the second one that is unique.
The second floral bouquet is a religious tribute. This second bouquet is considered a tribute. It is a tribute to the Virgin Mary.
The Log Cutting Ceremony – Germany
Bet you didn't think you would be doing any physical labour on the day of your wedding. However, if you are following the Germany tradition of a log cutting ceremony, be prepared to work up a sweat.
The newlywed couple will gather around a large wooden log and try to use a two-person push saw to cut the log in half. The goal of this ceremony is to build up teamwork and show the wedding guests that the couple can work together as a team.
