What Size Cake Fits on the Top Tier?
The top tier can hold a small feature cake while the lower tiers display cupcakes. The cake and its base board should fit completely within the top acrylic plate. Leaving a small border around the cake generally looks more balanced and helps prevent the cake board from overhanging the plate.

Can I put a cake on the top tier?
Yes. The top tier can hold a small feature cake or additional cupcakes. The cake and its base board must fit completely within the top plate.
What size cake fits on a 7 tier cupcake stand?
The 7 tier stand uses the same top plate as the smaller versions. The round stand has a 14cm top plate and is generally suited to a cake up to approximately 12cm diameter including its cake board. The square stand has a 15 × 15cm top plate and is generally suited to a cake up to approximately 13 × 13cm including its cake board.
Will larger cupcakes fit?
Yes, but larger cupcakes, muffins, decorative cases and high icing will reduce the number that fits comfortably on each plate.
Are the capacities exact?
No. Capacities are approximate and are based on standard cupcakes approximately 5cm across. Always allow additional room for wide wrappers, large icing decorations, toppers or generous spacing.
Can I leave the top plate empty?
Yes. The top plate may hold cupcakes, a small cake, flowers or another lightweight decorative feature. Any decorations shown in product images are not included unless specifically stated on the product page.
Does the stand arrive assembled?
The stand requires assembly using the included Maypole-style centre rod and screw fittings. Remove the protective film from both sides of every acrylic plate before use.
Does the stand include sticky feet?
No. Sticky feet are not included.
Can the stand be reused?
Yes. The clear acrylic stand can be reused when assembled, cleaned, dismantled and stored carefully. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the acrylic surface.
