Lay-By Terms & Conditions

We understand that planning for a wedding can be an expensive exercise and Wedding Superstore would like to help you navigate that by offering you a layby service.

How to Place your Lay-by Order

Please add items to you cart as if you are placing a normal order. On the checkout screen please choose Lay-By in the payments section. At this stage do not do anything else except for submitting your order. Once we receive that order we will email you with a the process for making payment by bank transfer or credit credit card.

Period All

Lay-By agreements run for a maximum period of 24 weeks. If the customer fails to maintain the instalments agreed by that period, the company reserves the right to cancel the agreement and place the item back into stock.

Minimum Value

Layby is available on purchases of $40 or more.

A 10% deposit of the total of the layby is required on each layby.

Regular fortnightly payments must be made. These can only be made via bank transfer or credit card on the website

Payments  Methods

Payments can be made via bank transfer or credit card only by logging into your account on our website. Each payment made via bank transfer must have your order number as the reference, If you do not use your order number the payment WILL NOT be assigned to your layby

Shipment of Goods

No goods can be dispatched prior to all payments being received.


All applicable warranties commence from the period of collection and not from the start of the Lay-By.

Customer Cancellation of Lay-By Agreement

You are entitled to cancel your Lay-By agreement at any time prior to the dispatch of the goods. We will require an email or letter advising on the cancellation request, we cannot accept this request via phone or live chat.  All funds paid, less applicable termination fees will be reimbursed to you by the method you used to pay for each payment. A refund will be issued within 14 days from receipt of your written request to cancel. Refunds will not be issues for personalized items as they would already have been printed ready.

Company Cancellation of Lay-By Agreement

 The company may cancel the Lay-By agreement if the customer fails to meet the payment schedule and applicable termination fees will apply where the customer has failed to comply with the agreement. The company also reserves the right to terminate the agreement if they are unable to supply the item, the goods have been deemed to be faulty or they cease to trade. No termination fees will apply where the company has enacted any of these rights.

 Termination Fees

Companies are entitled to charge a reasonable termination fee for cancellation of Lay-By agreements. The fees applicable to your agreement are for orders up to $200 a 10% surcharge. For orders over $200 a 7% Surcharge is applicable. This covers storage costs, restocking costs, administration fees etc for managing your layby.
